Cara’s Top Picks For Halloween Treats

Halloween is right around the corner! Kids of all ages are excited to get outside and grab some treats; and our pets can join them too! We had a special strategy session with our pet ambassador Cara, and instead of doing a seasonal run of HoneyCure, she convinced us to instead do a round up of Halloween themed cat treats for her to rank as her favorites. Let’s see how she felt about the three treats she got to try:

Weruva Cats in the Kitchen’s Pumpkin Lickin’ Chicken Pumpkin Soup

Cara’s first treat was Weruva Cats in the Kitchen’s Pumpkin Lickin’ Chicken Pumpkin Soup. This is a grain-free cat food made of mostly chicken in a soup broth. At home Cara gets a consistent choice of a healthy-minded dry cat food, which pairs nicely with her eating habits throughout the day. Intermittently she gets a wet food, both as a treat but also to add in a bit of extra nutrition and moisture into her diet. Her choice here was a well placed one, the chicken in this product is real chicken shreds in the broth. The second main ingredient is pumpkin so the broth is no joke! All this makes it a great treat for you cat.

Cara’s Taste Ranking: Full disclaimer here, she normally dislikes broth foods, but she still insisted on trying because the treat sounded so good. She gave this third place.

Temptations Creepy Catnip

Cara’s second treat was Temptations Creepy Catnip treats. Temptations has been around for a while, and their treats are incredibly tempting for cats. It’s no wonder Cara looked for it! These treats are a delicious catnip flavor, and they’re a dry crunchy treat, which really hit the spot for some cats. In fact, Cara’s best friend Kelsey (a notoriously picky cat) loves these too. These make a great occasional treat, and for cat parents looking to do a little treat training these are a wonderful option for quick positive reinforcement via food, with a Halloween twist!

Cara’s Taste Ranking: She finds them creepily tempting! Cara has been working on her tricks and these treats are a good treat as she learns new ones! Second place!

Fruitables Cat Treats

We think Cara cheated on her third treat. She picked Fruitables Tuna with Pumpkin cat treats. Now these are treats that are available year round, and Fruitables is one of her favorite brands. She really loves the Wild Naturals that her friend Kelsey also recommended to her. Fruitables use a limited selection of ingredients and try to use real protein sources whenever possible. They also add in superfoods like pumpkin that are packed with vitamins and nutrients. These treats are dry and crunchy too, which Cara finds very appealing.

Cara’s Taste Ranking: She tricked us for a treat and loves them! First place. It’s always hard to beat a tried-and-true classic.

Conclusion

There you have it! A ranking of Cara’s top picks for cat treats this Halloween. This is her first blog post that she got to decide the strategy on, so let us know what you think! She’s looking forward to helping out more, but she seems to have decided to sign off from work a bit early today. We asked her if she’s ready for Halloween costume fitting and she still hasn’t gotten back to us yet.
